Through a suite of loan programs,

the URA's Business Development Center (BDC) helps Pittsburgh businesses leverage the capital necessary for their growth and success. Whether your business is building a new facility to accommodate expansion, seeking working capital to underwrite growth, purchasing or leasing new equipment, or all three, the URA is ready to assist.

The BDC offers a variety of ‘gap’ loan financing products and has a network of technical assistance providers to achieve this mission. We will work with most any business and lender to make good deals work.

The Mayor's Storefront Renovation Program

The Storefront Renovation Program Grant provides up to 50% or $5,000 for business or commercial property owners for storefront improvements.

City of Pittsburgh Commercial Use Buildings Tax Exemption Program (LERTA Commercial)

If you improve commercial real estate in the City of Pittsburgh and the building's tax assessment goes up due to the improvements, the building is eligible for an annual abatement (up to $50,000) on the City of Pittsburgh's portion of real estate taxes.
