Pittsburgh Home Rehabilitation Program (PHRP)
PHRP provides a 0% fixed interest rate for up to 20 years for home improvements. Borrow up to $25,000. Program is for low to moderate income homeowners in the City of Pittsburgh. Grant funds are available if you apply for this loan.
Home Improvement Loan Program (HILP)
The interest rate is only 5.99% with terms of 10, 15 and 20 years with no equity requirements. You may borrow up to $15,000 for a single unit home, although the home can have up to four units. Program is for moderate income homeowners in the City of Pittsburgh.
Keystone Renovation and Repair Program (R&R)
Program is for homeowners in the City of Pittsburgh who earn less than $90,000. Borrow up to $35,000. The attractive interest rates are based on the term of the loan 10, 15 or 20 years and there are no equity requirements.
Housing Recovery Program (HRP)
(This link will take you to Home Mortgages section.)Homeowners who need to make substantial repairs to their homes can use this program which provides low 30 year fixed rate, fist mortgage money for renovations. Borrowers must refinance any existing mortgage debt. Qualified borrowers can receive interest free, deferred second mortgage money towards the project costs.
