3527 and 3529 Butler Street

Proposals Due: March 19, 2010

The URA is requesting proposals from qualified developers to purchase, develop and resell/operate a development on two vacant parcels at 3527 & 3529 Butler Street. The preferred reuse is commercial retail frontage with residential or office in the upper stories. The site is zoned Local Neighborhood Commercial, and located along the main street in the middle of a dense urban commercial district. This site is very well positioned to contribute to the vibrant Lower Lawrenceville (LOLA) commercial district, which includes recent development of a new community gardening space, Dozen Bake Shop, and the recently opened Tamari restaurant. Interested developers should submit a proposal for both sites. Request this RFP.

East Liberty Place South - 5800 Penn Avenue

East Liberty Place South is the working name for the proposed mixed-use redevelopment of the southern portion of the former East Mall high-rise site and adjacent properties in East Liberty.
The URA and The Community Builders (TCB) are requesting development proposals from qualified firms to partner with TCB. TCB will serve as the residential developer of this site and is seeking a commercial development partner to develop this site into a viable mixed-use project that maintains the architectural integrity of the East Liberty neighborhood and contributes to its continued revitalization. Request this RFP.

Liberty Avenue, 600 and 604

Proposals Due: February 12, 2010 (by Noon)

The URA is seeking a purchaser with an interesting redevelopment plan for two buildings at this highly visible gateway. Although this site is not a complete assemblage (602 Liberty Avenue is privately owned), it does offer a range of possibilities for a creative high quality development. These properties are for sale only; lease proposals will not be considered. Proposals for one or both of the sites will be considered.

Pittsburgh Technology Center

Proposals Accepted on a Rolling Deadline

Developers with experience, capacity, and creativity are sought to transform four sites, ranging in size from .686 to 1.513 acres at the Pittsburgh Technology Center, a state-of-the-art riverfront office park and regional center for research and development. Located in close proximity to Oakland, South Side Works, and Downtown, each parcel has access to public transportation. The site is also served by a 723 space parking garage. Separate proposals should be submitted for each site location. Developers may submit multiple proposals. Request this RFP.

Former Prospect School (Located atop Mount Washington)

The Pittsburgh Public School District (“PPS”) in cooperation with the URA and the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (“MWCDC”) invites developers to submit proposals to purchase the site located at 161 Prospect Street, and to design and develop the building. Responsibility for the selection of a Developer rests with the PPS Board of Education who will receive recommendations from the URA. The objective of this solicitation is to select a Developer to complete a high quality development plan. Request this RFP.
