    This original RFP was issued on April 21, 2014 and due on July 13, 2014. The RFP is being reissued due to the availability of additional parcels for redevelopment within the Garden Theater Block.     Request for Redevelopment Proposals: Former St. John's Hospital and Associated Land in the Brighton Heights Neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh

    The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA), in partnership with the Pittsburgh Housing Development Corporation (PHDC), requests proposals from housing redevelopers, redevelopment teams and/or master contractors (the "redeveloper") for the former St. John's Hospital site and associated land (the "site"). The URA and PHDC are collaborating with the Brighton Heights Citizens Federation (BHCF) on the redevelopment of this site, which is located in the Northside neighborhood of Brighton Heights in the City of Pittsburgh. The goal of the RFP is to select a redeveloper to complete a high-quality, sustainable, for-sale, single-family housing development. Read more here >

    REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: BEECHVIEW BUSINESS DISTRICT PROJECT CONSULTANT

    A consultant is needed for the Beechview Business District. This consultant will work through the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (MWCDC) as an independent contractor and community liaison to build capacity in the Beechview neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: management and coordination of the planning, financing and implementation of complex development and infrastructure projects along the Broadway Avenue; coordination among MWCDC, the City of Pittsburgh and Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) staffs, public and private funders, developers and professional service teams, elected officials and government representatives, residents and neighborhood organizations; preparation of correspondence, reports and evaluation of documents, budgets and schedules; the monitoring of project budgets and compliance issues; and the formulation of recommendations on development policies, programs and projects. Work is performed independently and under the general direction of MWCDC, with input from the City of Pittsburgh, and the URA. Extensive contacts both within and outside the City are required to perform the responsibilities of the position. Read more here >

    The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA), in coordination with the Central Northside community, is seeking a redeveloper and/or development teams to submit proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of two parcels in the Garden Theater Block. The Garden Theater Block is bounded by West North Avenue, Reddour Street, Eloise Street and Federal Street. This block is anchored by a former movie theater and former Masonic Hall. The parcels that are available for this redevelopment project are 1112 Reddour Street (aka "The Bradberry") and 1113-1115 Federal Street. Read more here >
