The URA is involved in hundreds of projects throughout the City of Pittsburgh. Our projects are diverse and have all been completed with input from community development organizations throughout the city. Through URA loans, strategic partnerships and other economic development initiatives, the URA is committed to supporting the next generation of creators, thinkers, innovators and inventors that are transforming our community.

Bakery Square

Rehabilitation and new construction of mixed-use development, including new hotel, retail, parking garage, and high-quality office space.

Bedford Dwellings

In 2023, the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) received a federal Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant to  revitalize and transform the Bedford Dwellings and Middle Hill neighborhoods.

The Bonvue Street development includes the renovation and resale of five single family homes located in the Observatory Hill neighborhood.

Bradberry Building - Federal North

The Bradberry Building is part of a larger strategy to revitalize the entire Federal Street and North Avenue intersection and surrounding block. The building was converted into 16 apartments, with modern layouts, consisting of one studio apartment, (11) one-bedroom units, and (4) two-bedrooms apartments.

The Brew House

Brew House Artist Lofts

A former turn-of-the-century brewery was rehabilitated and reconfigured into a mixed-income housing development for artists to live and work in the South Side Flats. The building houses 76 residential units and provides artists with work space and an art gallery.
