The URA Housing Department offers financing products for rental housing development that can be used for developments that vary by size and tenant income.
Rental Housing Development and Improvement Program (RHDIP)
The Rental Housing Development and Improvement Program (RHDIP) provides a flexible source of funding to non-profit and for-profit developers for the acquisition, new construction and rehabilitation of non-owner occupied residential rental housing primarily for low- and moderate-income households. The RHDIP is designed to increase the supply of decent and affordable housing and to eliminate health, safety and property maintenance deficiencies, as well as to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Pittsburgh Development Fund (PDF)
The Pittsburgh Development Fund (PDF) provides a flexible source of funding to non-profit and for-profit developers for the new construction of market rate rental and for-sale housing. The Fund is also available for the acquisition and rehabilitation of market rate rental and for-sale housing.
