Amplify. Connect. Encourage.

March 2018 Newsletter

Inclusive Innovation Week 2018 will take place Monday, April 2 through Sunday, April 8, 2018.

Now in its third year, Inclusive Innovation Week (IIW) is a platform led by the City of Pittsburgh and URA to amplify opportunity for all and encourage cross-sector collaboration and ideation. During this weeklong celebration, the IIW team partners with organizations, businesses and individuals to bring important conversations to the forefront, create welcoming and inclusive experiences and highlight shared efforts for Pittsburgh to be a city for all.

Last year, the IIW team partnered with 136 individuals, businesses, and organizations to host 80 free events across 20 neighborhoods in 8 days.

“It’s remarkable to see Pittsburghers unite in their efforts to eliminate barriers and create pathways to success through accessible, inclusive and welcoming programming,” Mayor Peduto said.

Event themes range from youth focused, business, equity/community, technology, arts, and more, and feature renowned speakers and necessary conversation topics to create action around inclusive innovation. This year’s programming will showcase a “problem solving” kickoff event, an interactive Facebook Live Stream from Point Park University’s Center for Media Innovation and a Silent Disco.
