HOF Announces Program Application and Community Meetings

February 2019

Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Now Available

As of January 2019, applications for the Housing Opportunity Fund’s (HOF) Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program (DPCCAP) are open to the public. The Program is designed to assist low-income households in purchasing their first home in the City of Pittsburgh. Eligible properties include single-family homes, townhomes, and duplexes.

Households at or below 80% AMI may receive up to $7,500 in assistance. Households between 80% AMI and 115% AMI may receive up to $5,000 in assistance.

The HOF Department is excited to award the first DPCCAP funds; three households are expected to close on their first home in Pittsburgh within the next two weeks.

For more information about DPCCAP, please contact Vethina Tercias at 412.255.6639.

HOF to Host a Series of Community Feedback Meetings

The URA’s HOF Department announces a series of community meetings open to all City of Pittsburgh residents in February and early March to gather feedback regarding the HOF 2018 and 2019 Allocation Plans.

These community meetings provide the opportunity for Pittsburgh residents to voice their opinions and shape the future funding priorities of the 2019 HOF Allocation Plan. The feedback will be presented to the HOF Advisory Board, which they will take into consideration prior to the approval of the 2019 Allocation.

We encourage all Pittsburgh residents to attend and share their feedback at one of the five community meetings hosted throughout the city. Registration, via Eventbrite, is free.
