
Greater Hill District Neighborhood Reinvestment Fund Initiatives
The Greater Hill District Neighborhood Reinvestment Fund was established to ensure that development in and around the Hill District contributes to the revitalization, sustainability and equitable growth of the neighborhood.
Through targeted grants, the Greater Hill District Neighborhood Reinvestment Fund (GHDNRF) supports projects and initiatives that align with the Greater Hill District Master Plan and the Community Collaboration and Implementation Plan.

Current Initiatives
Currently, there are three grant programs supported by the GHDNRF:
- Children, Youth and Education Initiatives Program aims to increase the capacity of community-based organizations to provide educational activities and experiences related to: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the arts (dance, music, visual arts etc.), athletics, cultural awareness, and the improvement of educational outcomes.
- Workforce Development Initiatives Program aims to provide grant support for initiatives that prepare individuals for sustainable employment through training, education, and job placement services.
- Development Initiatives Program aims to provide "last-in" grant support for new construction and rehabilitation of commercial, mixed-use and housing development.
Project Eligibility
- All granted funds must directly benefit residents of the Greater Hill District.
- Each applicant should apply under only one initiative area per application submission.
- Administrative costs, like rent or salaries, are not eligible for funding.
- Nonprofits or for-profit businesses with non-profit partners are eligible to apply. Some emerging organizations may be eligible.
