Former Fairywood School
On December 19, 2019, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a developer to purchase and redevelop approximately 4.74 acres that front Broadhead Fording Road. A Review Committee will consider resident feedback while evaluating proposals and will recommend a developer to build new affordable senior housing for Fairywood residents.
We invite you to participate in this process
The next step is gathering the input of Fairywood residents about which development they would like to see in their neighborhood.
Under typical circumstances, the URA hosts in-person community meetings where developers present their proposals to residents, and residents provide feedback that the Review Committee then uses to make a recommendation. However, in-person meetings are not feasible due to COVID-19.
Below you will find materials submitted by these prospective developers. Please review the summary sheets and/or view the presentation videos submitted by each developer.
What developers are under consideration?
The Review Committee received proposals from the following three developers:

• Bridging the Gap Development, LLC
• Tryko Partners, LLC
Submitting Feedback
After reviewing the materials, you can submit feedback about the proposals in two ways:
1. Follow https://forms.gle/zzi7mvJABg6c4TVZ8 to a digital form where you will be prompted to rank the projects as well as provide feedback about each project.
2. Call 412-255-6578 and leave a detailed voice message that states the proposal you would prefer to see developed in Fairywood as well as any other feedback you may have about any proposal.
The URA will compile all comments received and share with the Review Committee. The selected developer will be expected to present to the community again for further input.
